MECHANICSVILLE, Va. — The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has announced that they are now accepting Alcohol Education and Prevention Grant applications for the 2025-2026 calendar year.
These grants provide funding to community organizations working to prevent underage and high-risk drinking behavior. Grants of up to $10,000 are available.
Eligible organizations include community coalitions, law enforcement, nonprofits, schools, colleges, and faith-based organizations.
Grant applicants must address one or more of the following priorities:
Underage drinking prevention
Social providing/social hosting prevention
High-risk drinking prevention
After grants are awarded, members of the ABC Community Health & Engagement team stay in contact throughout the grant cycle to provide support, and encourage success.
