Annual strawberry fundraiser also announced
STANLEY, Va. — The Stanley Volunteer Rescue Squad (SVRS) held its 2024 Banquet and Awards ceremony on January 18th, 2025.
Honors were extended toward the recipients of the following awards:
EMT of the Year – Josh Gray
Driver of the Year – Greg Lam
The Helping Hand of the Year – Charlie Pettit
Support Member of the Year – Sierra Hilliards
Newcomer of the Year – Karen Stoneberger
Member of the Year – Carol Lam
Captain’s Award – Ron Schupner
President’s Award – Nancy Taylor

Annual Fundraiser Announced
The SVRS is again offering beautifully-packaged, delicious chocolate strawberries Valentine’s Day.
One dozen will be offered for $12 and half dozens will be offered for $8. Pick-up orders will be available on February 13. Pick-up and delivery will be available on February 14.
Those wishing to order strawberries can do so by accessing the online order form HERE, contacting a SVRS member directly, or messaging the SVRS page on Facebook.
The SVRS was first established in 1969 and remains 100% volunteer.

Stanley is a rural town in Page County, Virginia, approximately eight miles south of the county seat of Luray. Sections of Stanley also border Shenandoah National Park. As of the 2023 census, Stanley’s population was 1,723.
