WARREN COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a Front Royal woman dead.
According to an emailed media release from VSP Sergeant Brent W. Coffey, investigators estimate that the the crash occurred June 21, 2025.
Sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling south on Eldridge Drive, when it ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree.
Both the motorcycle and the rider were not visible from the roadway. They were not discovered until June 23, when a family member notified state police.
The motorcyclist, Dawn R. Bolton, 55, died at the scene. She had been wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
