LURAY, Va. — For the second day in a row, the National Weather Service in Washington, DC has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for Page County and surrounding areas.
The warning is in effect from 11 a.m to 9 p.m. on June 24, 2025 for Virginia and West Virginia counties — including Washington, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke, Berkeley and Jefferson.
Dangerously hot conditions, with heat index values up to 108° expected.
An Extreme Heat Watch is also in effect for Page County and surrounding areas through Wednesday, June 25. According to local weather predictions, daytime temperatures will remain in the 90s for at least another week.
