HARRISONBURG, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a crash that left a 20-year-old Rockingham woman dead on Sunday.
According to a media release from VSP Public Relations Coordinator Matthew Demlein, the incident occurred August 3, 2025.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., Marilyn A. Good was riding her bike eastbound on Oakwood Drive when she was struck by an eastbound 2013 Kia Soul. Good died at the scene.
The driver of the Kia, Shelia Douglas, 85, of Harrisonburg, was charged with reckless driving and failing to allow a bicycle the appropriate distance when passing.
The crash remains under investigation.
