ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating a crash that killed a Timberville man on Sunday.
According to a media release from VSP, the incident occurred June 29, 2025.
At 3:27 a.m., a 2015 Infiniti Q50 was heading northbound on North Valley Pike when it crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2018 Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson then went off of the right side of the road.
The driver of the Tucson, Damian Alan Siever, 30, suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the Infiniti, David J. Siever, 28, also of Timberville, suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The media release did not indicate whether the two men were related. However, the obituary of Damian Siever mentions a David J. Siever as a brother.
The crash remains under investigation, with fatigue being looked at as a cause.
