RILEYVILLE, Va. — On Thursday, the Luray Fire Department (LFD) responded to their fifth “working fire” this month.
According to an LFD media release, crews were dispatched to to the 400 block of Turtle Rock Lane on February 20, 2025, for reports of a camper on fire.

Engine 12, Tanker 1, Brush 10, Command 1 and 15 personnel responded to the scene. Lieutenant 1-2 arrived first and found a “motor home” fully involved.
The Engine 12 crew immediately advanced an “attack line” to suppress the fire. LFD members worked on-scene for almost an hour cooling hotspots and ensuring the fire was out.
The Luray Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Page County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the call.
No injuries were reported.
