LURAY, Va. — After rumors of a deputy-involved incident began to swirl on social media this weekend, the Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) issued a statement addressing the matter.
On the morning of March 30, 2025, unverified Facebook allegations claimed that an intoxicated and rowdy PCSO deputy had been escorted from the Moose Lodge the night before.
On Sunday afternoon, the PCSO posted the following statement on their own Facebook page:
The Page County Sheriff’s Office is aware of recent reports involving alleged improper public conduct by one of our deputies.
Although the reported incident occurred while the deputy was off duty, we hold all members of our department to a high standard of conduct, both on and off duty.
In accordance with department policy, the deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending a thorough internal investigation.
We take these allegations seriously and are committed to preserving the integrity of our agency and the trust of our community.
We appreciate the public’s patience as we conduct a comprehensive review of the situation. No further information will be released at this time.
