LURAY, Va. — The Luray Police Department (LPD) announced results of ongoing efforts to combat crime in Page County.
According to a media statement released by LPD Chief C.S. “Bow” Cook, members of the department executed a narcotics search warrant on March 12, 2025. They worked in conjunction with the Page County Sheriff’s Office, the VSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Culpeper Field Office Drug Enforcement Section, and members of the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force
As a result of the search, approximately 124 grams of Methamphetamine (street value $5,828), 2,268 grams of marijuana (street value $22,680), 1 gram of Psilocybin mushrooms (street value $37), 2 dosage units of Molly (street value $60), 1 dosage unit of LSD (street value $8), nine firearms (street value $4,500), and $4,856 in U.S. currency was seized.
One suspect was arrested for felony possession by a convicted felon, possession with intent to distribute Sch I/II, and possession of firearm with Sch I/II drug. One suspect is pending arrest for Distribution Sch I/II Drug and firearms violations.
The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is comprised of law enforcement personnel from the Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, and Warren County Sheriff’s Departments, Front Royal, Luray, Strasburg, and Winchester Police Departments, and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Culpeper Field Office. The Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force is a HIDTA-funded initiative.
