LURAY, Va. — The National Weather Service in Washington, D.C., has issued a flash flood warning for Page County until 9:30 p.m. on June 13, 2025.
The alert, issued at 6:25 p.m., indicated a warning area including South Central Shenandoah County and West Central Page County. Locations affected include:
Luray
Stanley
Leaksville
Hamburg
Alma
New Market
Mount Jackson
Shenandoah Caverns
Quicksburg
At 6:26 p.m. EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have already fallen.
The expected rainfall rate is one to two inches per hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warning area.
