FRONT ROYAL, Va. — A woman wanted on felony charges was arrested after a brief pursuit on Sunday.
According to a media statement from the Front Royal Police Department (FRPD), the incident occurred on June 22, 2025.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., an FRPD officer observed a maroon Chevrolet Silverado being driven by Lisa Michelle Spencer, who was known to be wanted in Warren County on several felony charges.
The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of 6th Street and North Royal Avenue by activating his emergency equipment. Spencer, however, continued driving westbound on West 6th Street, prompting a brief vehicle pursuit.
Spencer eventually stopped her vehicle at the intersection of Massanutten Avenue and West 11th Street, where she was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, officers discovered a six-year-old child in the back seat of Spencer’s vehicle. The child was uninjured.
Lisa Michelle Spencer, 39, was transported to RSW Regional Jail and charged with the following offenses:
§ 46.2-817 (B) – Disregarding a law-enforcement officer’s signal to stop (Felony)
§ 40.1-103 (A) – Cruelty to children (Felony)
According to online court records, Spencer is scheduled to appear in Warren County General District Court on July 22.
