Results to be announced in August

LURAY, Va. — Three seats for the Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) board are open for election in 2026.

Results of the election will be announced at the company’s annual meeting in August.

Locally, four candidates are vying for the Central region (Page, Shenandoah, Warren) seat.

David “Davy” Ferguson

Marvin Heinze

Wes Shifflett

Ballots were mailed to SVEC members around June 22, while members with an email address on file have the option to vote electronically.

Election results will be announced during the SVEC annual meeting, to be held via telephone at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026.
