Freeze Watch Issued for Page County and Surrounding Areas

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Washington DC has issued a FREEZE WATCH for portions of Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia.

The watch is effect from 2-10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 and applies to the following counties: Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Northern Baltimore, Cecil, Northwest Montgomery, Northwest Howard, Northwest Harford, Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke, Greene, Madison, Rappahannock, Orange, Culpeper, Northern Fauquier, Southern Fauquier, Western Loudoun, Eastern Loudoun, Northern Virginia Blue Ridge, Central Virginia Blue Ridge, Northwest Prince William, Morgan, Berkeley, and Jefferson.

Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
