Closure expected to last through October 21
LURAY, Va. — The town has announced that Norfolk & Southern Railroad has closed a section of Virginia Avenue/US 340 Business South for track repairs and maintenance.
The routes below will also be affected by this closing:
South Hawksbill Street is CLOSED between the Ruffner Plaza parking lot and Virginia Avenue/US 340 Business South.
The Greenway Trail will be CLOSED between the Cliffside Pocket Park and footbridge.
The closure will take place between the hours of 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. and expected to last through October 21, 2025. According to town officials, marked detour signage has been posted.
